Product description

Delicious gingerbread lucky dolls that are not meant to be eaten, but are intended to bring a little luck.

These cute wooden lucky dolls are approximately 23x19 mm.

The gingerbread lucky charm is named after the gingerbread man that used to be baked by the special "gingerbread guild." It was a sacred duty for these bakers. Except at Christmas, when ordinary citizens were allowed to bake their own gingerbread cookies. These are packed with healthy and warming spices that would cheer them up on the cold and dark winter days. Then, of course, there was the Hansel and Gretel gingerbread house, as you can still see in the Efteling theme park. These gingerbread houses originated in Germany around 1800 as a Christmas tradition, inspired by the well-known fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel. These gingerbread cookies have become very popular in Germany during the Christmas season.
